Is my baby officially a toddler?

Issue #58

Miles, Maps & Styles

Hi Reader!

I'm celebrating a birthday - it's for the blog! Recently Run. Wander. Wear. turned two and I am so proud of this accomplishment. This blog is my baby and I think it's safe to say my baby is now a toddler!

As someone with ADHD, keeping focus on something as lifechanging as starting a blog for two years is quite the undertaking and I am so proud of what I'm building. From the first post to the most recent (a guest post I'm happy to share), thank you so much for being part of this incredible community and I am so happy you're here! Here's to year three!

Let's dig in.

New on the Blog

Run. Wander. Wear. is Two!

I launched this website two years ago with a dream of making planning your running goals and dreams just a little bit simpler. It has been a space to share my love for running marathons and traveling for races in a practical way.

I've built this blog from my heart and I plan to keep it that way. As the blogging landscape is changing with AI tools, I am still focused on this community and connecting with other runners. Thank you so much for your support over the last two years!

Pre-Run Skin Care for Runners

Since summer is offish-offish (translation: officially) here now, it's probably a good time to check in on summer skincare habits!

Check out this post with skin care tips for before your run!

Prime Picks of the Week

Here are a few of my skin care favorites I use as part of my long run skin care routine!

  • The best anti-chafe balm: I love this anti-chafe stick from Happy Curves! It's really creamy and leaves my skin so soft. It also does an incredible job to protect my skin from chafing. Highly recommend!
  • Sunscreen Spray: My tried-and-true sunscreen brand is Sun Bum. It smells amazing (just like summer) and comes in the range 15-70 SPF.
  • Facial Sunscreen: I love the lightness of this facial moisturizer sunscreen from CeraVe. It stays on and doesn't melt in my eyes (we tested it on the beach in Aruba).
  • Body Powder: I use this anti-boob sweat powder as part of my long run routine and it helps absorb moisture (I am so grateful). It's also perfect for festival season or hot summer days!
